Meet the Girlillas
Jennie began her career in the mid-1990s working for Elektra Entertainment, Spivak-Sobol Entertainment, Disney’s Hollywood Records and more. In the early 2000s, she moved to YAHOO! Music as Director of Marketing and Promotion which eventually led her to move to Nashville to work for Warner Bros. Records’ New Media Department and then as Clear Channel’s Senior Director of Content and Marketing. In January of 2008, Jennie launched Girlilla Marketing, which will celebrate 15 years in 2023.
Jennie is honored to serve on the boards of Country Music Association (2023 President-Elect), CMA Foundation (2019 Chair Person, 2022 Chair Person) and Music Health Alliance. She is also a former board member of Academy of Country Music, and a graduate of Leadership Music (class of 2010- best class ever!).
Jennie has been featured in AP, Billboard, Fast Company, People, HITS, The Tennessean and is grateful to be included in the Nashville Post's In Charge 2023: Music, Music Row's 2022 Rising Women on the Row and for 3+ years as a recipient of the Nashville Business Journal’s Women in Music City Awards.
Ashley has been with Girlilla Marketing since the company first opened in 2008. As Chief Marketing Officer, she helps oversee the marketing initiatives across the company’s roster of clients. She is an accomplished leader and has appeared on multiple panels, podcasts, and events to share learnings and contribute to the larger digital marketing community.
Ashley is a graduate of Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business and the Leadership Music’s Class of 2023. She was featured in Music Row’s 2021 Next Big Thing Directory and is an active member of SOURCE. She is a SOLID and WMBA alumna as well as a member of the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and Digital Divas.
Stevie Zea Escoto
Stevie joined Girlilla Marketing at its inception and has been implementing innovative digital marketing strategies and developing creative content concepts for over a decade. With a degree in Music Business from Middle Tennessee State University and previous stops at Broken Bow Records, Lyric Street Records and various management companies, she brings an array of insight and experience to her diverse client roster. From Maddie & Tae to Terry Crews, she provides an enthusiastic and hands-on approach to ensure engagement remains high.
She was a founding member of the inaugural CMA Women's Leadership Academy, was chosen as one of HitsDailyDouble's Noisemakers and was selected to Music Row's 2022 Next Big Thing Industry Directory. Stevie has appeared on many industry panels, contributed to various news features is a member of the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association and Digital Divas.
Lindsey joined Girlilla Marketing in May of 2017 after graduating from Vanderbilt University. Before joining the team, Lindsey explored the world of digital marketing and fan engagement with internships at the Country Music Association, Borman Entertainment, and Black River Entertainment.
Lindsey serves as a mentor for CMA EDU students and is proud to be a member of the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, and Digital Divas. She has appeared on many panels for students aspiring to work in digital marketing and the music industry at-large. Lindsey was recently selected for Music Row’s 2023 Next Big Thing Music Industry Directory.
Conley has been a part of the Girlilla Marketing team since 2016. A native of Kentucky and the daughter of a songwriter, Conley dreamed of moving to Nashville and working in the music and entertainment business. Conley relocated to Nashville in 2015 to complete her degree at Belmont University and the rest is history!
As a Junior Account Director, Conley is passionate about helping her clients find their brand identity and stand out among a crowd. Conley is a member of the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association and Digital Divas.
Alex joined the Girlilla Marketing team in July of 2017 after gaining experience working with the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Average Joe’s Entertainment. Her research-based marketing projects at the AMA sparked her interest in digital marketing and she relocated to Nashville to pursue that passion shortly after.
Alex is a proud member of SOLID, Americana Music Association, International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA), the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association and is a graduate of Valdosta State University.
Gigi joined Girlilla Marketing in 2021 during her senior year at Lipscomb University. After graduating with a degree in applied Mathematics and minors in marketing and graphic design, she chose to pursue graphic design full time. With 2 years experience as a self employed freelance artist, Gigi was able to quickly adapt to the range of clientele in music and entertainment. She uses a variety of skills from graphic design and cartooning to video editing and animation to elevate clients’ online presence with on-brand creative content. Gigi is a voting member of the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association.
A graduate of Belmont University, Alli Murray joined Girlilla Marketing in 2020. She brings with her digital marketing experience from KP Entertainment, Red Light Management and an independent venue in London. She is passionate about her clients and finding new ways to propel them forward, specifically with new tour marketing tactics and creative content strategies. Alli is a member of SOLID and currently serves on the communications committee in addition to being a member of the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association.
Upon graduating from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Marketing, Maddie joined Girlilla Marketing in January 2022. During her time in undergrad, Maddie gained experience in the music industry by spending three semesters interning with Triple 8 Management. She is passionate about collecting and analyzing data to more effectively curate the digital ecosystem of each of her clients. Maddie is also a member of the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association.
Catherine joined the Girlilla team in early 2022. She had her first experiences in marketing while receiving her undergraduate degree at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as a member of the American Marketing Association and the AMAze program. While earning her M.B.A at Middle Tennessee State University, she interned at Kathryn Good Marketing, and realized her love for all things digital marketing. She enjoys working with her clients to achieve their goals and increase audience engagement through creative and exciting digital content strategies.
Haley joined Girlilla Marketing in 2022 after graduating from Florida State University. Her background in beauty and influencer public relations quickly transitioned to all things digital marketing, specifically in music and hospitality. Haley consistently brings new ideas to the table for short form videos and trending content, which is a huge asset to each and every client she works with.
Kate joined the Girlilla Marketing team in May 2022, after graduating from Belmont University. During her time at Belmont she co-founded a student organization called Music Row Promo, which connects students and professionals to workshop music industry related marketing projects.
Prior to joining the Girlilla team, Kate spent a year gaining experience in digital marketing at Q Prime South and two years working part-time at Ocean Way Nashville Studios. She currently serves as Co-Director of Digital for Young Entertainment Professionals (YEP) Nashville and is also a CMA EDU alumna.
